I have been described in many ways over the years. I have been entitled as a rock star, a treasure, and a legend. However, I like to describe myself more modestly as a future-oriented researcher of new things. I am quite energetic as a person and usually get things done with at least 100% of energy.
Hobbies
I'm interested in many things and because of this I like to do a little bit of everything. Sometimes some hobbies are more active than others and sometimes the other way around.
The nerdier hobbies
Like many other people in the IT industry, I am quite an active computer, board and role-playing gamer. When it comes to computer games, I attend several LAN events every year. At my best, I attended four LANs during one autumn.
I'm in a group of friends' role-playing group that organizes games regularly. I play more complex board games like Terraforming Mars (pictured) occasionally.

Traveling and nature

I like to travel and be outdoors. Last summer I traveled a lot and visited Norway, among other places, and visited several places in Finland. The picture below is from the Turku Archipelago Ring Road. I also have a backpack and occasionally go hiking in national parks.
(Drone) photographing
I like to take photos from time to time. Especially in recent years I have taken a lot of photos with a drone. Drone photography was surprisingly challenging, especially at the beginning, due to the really diverse angles. Even after years, there is still plenty to practice. Above are some photos from a trip to Norway.
Sports activities
In the summer, I especially like cycling. During the first few years, my new bike managed to accumulate 3500 km on its odometer. All year round, we play badminton with my colleagues and I also go swimming from time to time. In the winter, I like to ski. As my latest exercise hobby, I have tried partner dancing. I still have a lot of room for practice in dancing, but I have dared to go on stage once.

Cottage

The family's summer cottage is an important place for me to spend time, where I spend a lot of time in the summer. I also ski at the cottage most winters.
Brief history
I spent my childhood in Nokia with my parents and sister. I went to primary and secondary school in my hometown, but I completed my high school in Tampere. I knew early on that I wanted to study computer science and initially planned to continue my studies in Tampere. However, after the excellent presentation of the LUT University Abiteam, my sense of adventure was awakened and I decided to go to Lappeenranta to study.
Before starting my studies, I completed a year of military service until I became a non-commissioned officer. I liked my studies in Lappeenranta so much that I finished them in 4.5 years, never having the courage to leave courses until the next year unless I had to. A lot of other things also happened during my studies. I was involved in various positions of trust, did several different jobs, and went on a student exchange in Mannheim, Germany.
Since graduating in early 2023, I have tried some new hobbies and traveled both in Finland and abroad. Recently, a lot of my free time has been spent on project management at Titeenipeli. This year, the main event organized annually by IT students will be held in Lappeenranta. Most recently, I have focused on municipal and regional election campaigning.
